The Rock & Water program is aimed at raising self-awareness of personal strengths and abilities and at learning how to play, work and live together with others in a changing and multicultural society. The aim of the program is to build a Rock and Water Person. This is a person who is aware of their own qualities and who has the courage to follow their feelings, who is willing to discover their own path and who will be able to manage the responsibilities and challenges they encounter on their way through life.
The program consists of a variety of exercises and activities to help build confidence and self-belief. This will also give the students an opportunity to work with a variety of students on building social skills.
Four of our staff are Rock and Water trained and run weekly sessions with four focus groups.
All staff at Revesby South have completed the 1-day introductory course, which focused on the first six lessons of the program. It also included breathing exercises, exercises for boundary awareness, and a focus on body language.
